Family Sessions

Family sessions take place at a location of your choosing. We can shoot at a park, or near a lake, or anywhere you choose. Don't worry, we will discuss these details during your consultation. Typically, family sessions last anywhere from one to three hours.

I do recommend scheduling family sessions annually, but I also know that scheduled portrait sessions can be difficult at times. Choosing to schedule your session close to a family event or the holidays is a great way to commemorate that special time in your life.

Newborn sessions take place at my studio located in Mukwonago. Your session will take around two to three hours. If you wish to have family portraits done as well, we will discuss these details during your initial consultation.

Typically, I recommend scheduling your newborn photoshoot when your little one is between 7 to 10 days new. Babies at this age tend to be sleepy, and less responsive to what's going on around him/her.

They also are easier to curl up in "womb-like" poses, will stay asleep for longer periods of time, don't mind being naked, and have a pretty regular feeding schedule.

I do make room for flexibility in my schedule, so as soon as you wish to book, reach out to me so I can get your expected due date in my calendar. Of course, babies arrive on their own time, so as the date gets closer, we can stay in touch with updates as they happen.

Lastly, we have your session!

If your baby is more than two weeks old, that's okay too! Babies more than two weeks old might not curl up as easily or like having his/her clothes off. I never want you to cancel a newborn session due to missing "the window." We will do more wrapped shots, above shots, and shots in crates and buckets

Maternity Sessions

Maternity sessions take place at a location of your choosing. Typically, I recommend having your maternity photos taken right around the 30-week mark; between 30-35 weeks. But every woman is different, so there are no absolute rules when it comes to this timeline.

If you are having a high-risk pregnancy, and having photos done is important to you, I recommend having your photos done earlier than the recommended time frame to avoid overexerting your body. While I will always be aware of your energy levels during our session, you will always know your body best. Monitor your levels in the weeks leading up to your session. If you feel like it's best to reschedule it to an earlier date, just reach out to me and let me know! I will push up your date.

All sessions include a sneak peek on my blog, along with an online gallery of your high-resolution digital images. From your online gallery, you can easily share, download, and print your images.

The session fee is the only cost, and is due at the time of booking in order to secure your date.
