5 Ways To Keep Learning

Updated: Mar 28, 2023

Personally, I love learning. I enjoy learning new things, and learning new skill sets. There are few things in this world that give me the satisfaction of personal growth like learning provides me.

But I have to admit, sometimes it does get hard to stay motivated. Some days it’s harder than others, but I wanted to share with you how I use these 5 ways to make sure I always challenge myself to keep learning, and do it in a way that makes me the happiest.

#1) EMBRACE NEW EXPERIENCES

This tip comes in so many different forms. Most importantly, make sure you figure out a way to incorporate it into your daily life.

When you step outside your comfort zone, you open your mind to new and incredible things. The opportunities are endless, and you give yourself the grace to learn something new.

The most important part is to make sure you take things slowly because new experiences can be overwhelming if you try to make too many changes at once. Find a balance between your daily activities, and adding new experiences to your life.

2) SAY YES TO NEW THINGS

Look for opportunities to experience new things, and learn to be okay with the uncertain feeling that goes along with it.

If it’s something that you haven’t tried yet, what is it going to hurt giving it a go.

When you enter a new environment, your curiosity naturally comes out. When you are curious, you start asking questions which is the best position to be in when you want to learn something new.

Being on the hunt to try new things is always a great way to keep learning.

#3) DIRECTLY TARGET YOUR WEAKNESSES

Reverse psychology can teach you a lot if you use it correctly.

Whenever I want to learn something new, I focus on making areas of my life that I need to improve better.

You know what you are already good at, but you don’t know if you are good at what you are bad at because you probably haven’t given it a proper try.

When you think about it, everyone is bad at something until they are good at it.

So everyone starts at the same level, but those that choose to improve themselves are the ones that are good at the thing that they are good at. That was a lot I know, but do you see what I'm saying?

#4) ASK QUESTIONS

I love this tip so much because ever since I started my business, I implemented a strategy that allowed for so much room for growth.

And that was whenever I had a question, anything at all, I would write it down in a notebook.

Whenever something popped into my head, I would write it down. Then when I had some free time, or when I needed to have answers to my questions, I would do my own research and find the answers.

You get a sense of accomplishment, and also you really learn something new.

#5) BE CREATIVE IN YOUR LEARNING PROCESS

The easiest way I do this is by changing my routine, and changing how I do things. School teaches us that we are a specific kind of student that likes to retain information from listening, or by visually seeing it, or by hands-on experience.

But they don’t teach us that we can be all of the above.

So make sure you switch things up every once in a while, and rediscover how you can make learning fun.
