Intentional Details Behind The Camera

I’ve always been drawn to witnessing a bride’s vision come to life. Not just in the big, sweeping moments, but in the quiet, intentional details. Behind my camera, I get a front-row seat to the story she’s telling through the items she’s chosen to represent one of the most important days of her life.

The shoes she slipped into that morning aren’t just beautiful, they’re a reflection of her personality. Maybe they’re sparkly and bold, or soft and romantic. Maybe they’re a nod to tradition, or a break from it.

Either way, they were picked with care and thoughtfulness, and they deserve a moment in the spotlight too.

The ring, of course, tells a story all its own.

A promise made. A love celebrated. A future imagined.

It’s often one of the first things chosen, and yet it somehow feels brand new all over again when I photograph it on the wedding day, resting quietly before it takes center stage during vows and forever after.

I always find myself slowing down during these detail shots. These little elements, though often small, carry so much meaning.

They’re the pieces that ground the day in memory. The bride saw them in her mind long before she ever put them on. And when I photograph them, I try to capture not just what they are, but what they mean.

So when I share images like this, it’s not just about the shoes or the ring. It’s about honoring the thought, heart, and emotion a bride pours into every part of her day.

From behind the lens, I’m just grateful to tell that story one frame at a time 🩷

And feel truly blessed to be able to be a small part of someone’s big day.
